Within A Sumptuous Misery_2... by Darkensilver Within A Sumptuous Misery_2... by Darkensilver
Being too close from things makes our field of vision so blur and narrow, or maybe even nonexistent..That's why, it is worthwhile to keep sometimes a distance from ourselves and things we've got, in order to have a clear idea of their real extent ..

Thus, objectivity, fairness and neutrality always require distance...

Indeed...
The beauty that lays behind the decay..
The decay that creates beauty..

Have you ever been to the corner ? Much of French people adore Marrakesh and even come to live in definitively

Si, tal vez. A veces cosas muy tristes y malas son muy estéticas.

Con mucho gusto!

Quizá que el exceso de estético sea detras de su conversión en ruinas, ruinas hermosas...

It shocked me just a bit then I thought of where you were. I'm guilty of sterio typing a country with what I see on tv. I am sorry about that.

Have you ever seen the Movie Casablanca with Humphrey Bogart? That's one of the films I remember best. It unfortunately led me to believe that Morocco was a very hot land, not the kind of place you'd find snow. There have been others but at the moment that is the one that stuck with me most.

You know, Cinema is straining almost everything, maybe there is some special purposes, or agendas i don't know... But Morocco is about a mixture of everything, almost like your country :) .. and Marrakesh stays among the most "weird" places, with its natural richness, shifting from the mere basic desert landscapes to thick forest ones, toward Mountains suitable for doing skii :D

Shots of the same place :

Media does twist people's perception of the world around them. It's a shame but as long as we are able to admit that we've misunderstood, that we've not seen things for what they truly are then hopefully we can get past all that one day.

I know that there are countries out there that have a strong dislike for Americans and this isn't helped by the fact American tourists can be real jerks toward the people of the country where they are visiting. They fail to recognize they are ambassadors to that country even as those who are hired to do the job.

It is probably the saddest fact of being an American that we are grouped all together as one collection when there are so many of us who are nothing alike but it is the same with so many other countries. Many think that just because someone is from the middle east they are a terrorist and if they are from China or Russia they are communists and if they are from Germany they are Nazis. It is a vicious circle We distrust so we make others distrust. We misunderstand so we cause misunderstanding. We fear so we cause fear. We hate so we cause others to hate. I don't want to be those people I want to know not fear the unknown. I want to understand. I want to have my eyes open. I want to meet and get to know people because I believe wholeheartedly that we are so very much the same. It is only our fear that separates us.

Thank you once again my friend for sharing bits of your life with me. I wish there were more people out there like you.
